For a 25 lb dog, the recommended dose is 22.7 mg of diphenhydramine per administration.
That equals 1.00 of your 25 mg tablets, or 9.1 mL of standard liquid Benadryl (12.5 mg/5 mL).
Give every 8 hours (up to 3 times a day). Allow 30-60 minutes for the medication to take effect.
Only use plain diphenhydramine - avoid any product containing xylitol, decongestants, or acetaminophen, which are toxic to dogs.
