How to convert a number to millions
To express any number in millions, divide it by 1,000,000. This works because "million" is simply a shorthand for the value 1,000,000. For example, 7,500,000 divided by 1,000,000 gives 7.5, so 7,500,000 can be written as 7.5 million.
